What is WildCard SSL?

WildCard SSL certificates allow you to secure unlimited number of first-level subdomains on a single domain name.

For example the WildCard SSL for *.domain.tld would also protect:

  • domain.tld
  • www.domain.tld
  • shop.domain.tld
  • mysubdomain.domain.tld

and many others.

You can order this type of SSL certificate from your Client Area -> Order New Services -> Security (SSL) Certitficates.

A detailed comparison of the different SSL certificates Cloud DataWorks offers can be found here.
